SOURCE ★ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Mikoto Mikoshiba is a seventeen year old boy, with red hair and red eyes, and pierced ears with...you guessed it, red studs. His height is 177cm (5"9.6ft) and he's slender and pale. ♚ FASHION: Mikoto is very fashion-conscious, reads fashion magazines and takes a lot of care with his appearance. His school uniform is his most commonly seen outfit, which consists of blue trousers, a white shirt with the Roman Academy logo on the shirt pocket and brown dress shoes. His shirt is unbuttoned and wore over an orange t-shirt. Outside of school, his style is flashy and punkish. An example of such an outfit. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Mikoto tries to give off a cool, stylish vibe at all times, and it often works. People who don't know him consider him to be a cool, handsome, flirty guy. However this demeanour tends to crack under any sort of pressure, which includes being around girls for more than a few minutes, or hearing his own attempts at flirting. He's actually painfully shy, and gets flustered and downbeat easily. Anyone who spends enough time with him, especially if they're female and/or perspective, will realise the cool guy stuff is a front. With his friends, he's a lot more relaxed and very excitable, although as he's still more delicate than them he can get flustered by them, too. Everyone in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun's cast thinks they're the Only Sane Man (minus possibly Kashima), and Mikoto is no exception. With Kashima, his best friend, he usually is, though he's just as prone to weirdness. He's most comfortable around younger guys, and likes playing cool big brother to them (he tries it with Chiyo too but she's not having it). ♚ SOUND: His normal speaking voice sounds like this. When he's being cool he sounds like a typical 'cool guy'. His voice gets slightly higher-pitched when he's flustered. His first language is Japanese and his ability is average for a high-schooler. English is one of his best school subjects, so he can probably understand some basic English. However, given how shy he is, he will likely be too overwhelmed by anyone trying to speak English to him to understand them, nevermind respond. ♚ SCENT: He's very good on personal hygiene, so his base smell is soap, and a slightly fruity shampoo smell. He wears a light cologne to smell manly, but he doesn't bathe in the stuff. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: If you read his mind, there's a 70-80% chance he's thinking about his otaku hobbies, which he'd find mortifying. For serious inquiries, please ask me first. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Any magical person will probably be disappointed by Mikoto, the most magical ability he has is his talent for drawing flowers, despite being awful at drawing anything more practical (people, objects, etc.). In terms of magical powers, he has none (by default), he's just a normal human being from a normal version of Earth. ★ Background ♚ CANON: Mikoto is from Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (Gekkan Shojuo Nozaki-kun) by Izumi Tsubaki, a gag romantic manga about a teenage shojo manga-ka. It was made into a twelve episode anime in 2014. ♚ CANON POINT: His current canon point is volume 10 of the manga. ★ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: I'm up for this, I'm in GMT+0 and full-time employment. For memes, a couple of days is fine. Games are the same but if we've reached a reasonable conclusion I'm good to wrap stuff up. For PSLs I've had some threads go on forever (literal years) with other characters so I'm fine with slowness if all interest hasn't been lost. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I would prefer not to. While Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun has anime, manga and video games existing in it, it has its own in-universe material (like Let's Fall in Love) so he wouldn't recognise other characters as being fictional. He might comment on something being *like* in a video game or manga in someone else's backstory, if you're open to that, but that's as far as it'd go. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Being so shy, he's not comfortable with casual physical affection from strangers and acquaintances and will get flustered by it. He's a tsundere so he might get shouty too, but that's as bad as he'll get. With friends he still might get flustered by affection, it will probably be easier with male friends and any female friends who are definitely not interested in him (e.g. dating someone else). Romantic affection will fluster him but if their relationship has developed to that point, he can work through it and probably get more confident over time. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He's just a normal human being, and one who's shy and doesn't like sports or working-out, so he's not tough at all. Depending on the circumstances it might be appropriate, for example, he's in a fighty situation for whatever reason. If you're not sure, please contact me! Definitely no random, unplanned attacks out of nowhere though. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm fine with shipping him but he's shy so it'd be a slow-burn. I'm open to f/m and m/m.
